The Detroit Publishing Company was one of the world's major image publishers that operated for nearly thirty years, from 1895 to 1924. The postcard pictured here is an example of one of their products that allowed Americans to gain new perspectives on the places they lived. In addition to postcards, Detroit Publishing Company created prints, souvenirs, lantern slides, and advertisements.
