Kidillac Pedal Car, circa 1955
01
Artifact Overview
Introduced at New York's Toy Fair in 1950, the Kidillac pedal car was manufactured in various styles and paint schemes into the 1960s. True to its Cadillac namesake, the Kidillac was relatively expensive. One version listed in the 1954 Sears catalog for $36.95 when basic pedal cars started around $13.00. But that Kidillac included premium features like battery-powered headlights.
