Artifact Overview

The Radio Franks were two radio performers named Frank who recorded for Edison. The little boy in this poignant song longs to have his departed mother return because he and his father miss her so much. To the lad, the developing technology of airplanes seems to offer a new way to reach her: "Mr. Aeroplane man, take me up to heaven."
