Moving the Mack Avenue Ford Plant inside Greenfield Village, 1974

01

Artifact Overview

As exhibits and interpretation change, artifacts are moved -- sometimes even whole buildings. That was the case on June 28, 1974, when the replica Ford Mack Avenue Plant was relocated within Greenfield Village. The building was moved closer to the Ford Home and the Bagley Avenue Workshop. All three structures joined the "Henry Ford's Model T" district in 2003.
