Walt Disney's Adventureland Game, 1956
01
Artifact Overview
Disneyland, America's first theme park, opened in 1955 in Anaheim, California. With the consummate skill of a filmmaker and storyteller, Walt Disney (with his Imagineers) reduced popular American themes to their essence to create each land and attraction. Adventureland, including Jungle Cruise, enticed guests to experience "the four corners of the globe and untamed nature" within a safe, comforting environment.
