University of Michigan Rose Bowl Sweatshirt, 1990
01
Artifact Overview
The Rose Bowl, first played in 1902, established the postseason college football bowl game tradition. In keeping with its original billing as a match between teams representing the Eastern and Western United States, the 1990 Rose Bowl pitted the Michigan Wolverines against the USC Trojans in a rematch of the 1989 game. The Trojans won 17-10, disappointing Wolverines fans hoping for a repeat victory.
