Artifact Overview
Natale Olivieri added a chocolate flavored drink to the homemade fruit juices he sold at his grocery store in the mid-1920s. The New Jersey entrepreneur named the drink Yoo-hoo. Customers loved it and he bottled the beverage for wider distribution. More success followed in the 1950s, when members of the New York Yankees touted Yoo-hoo as the "The Drink of Champions."
