01
Artifact Overview
Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby gave the Ford GT40 its first win anywhere when they drove their #73 car to victory at the 1965 Daytona Continental 2000-Kilometer Race. Ford created the GT40 to win France's celebrated 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race. The GT40 did just that in 1966 -- and again in 1967, 1968 and 1969.
