In 1917, Rauch and Lang Carriage Company touted its electric car as the "Ideal Automobile." This sales catalog pointed out the qualities of the vehicle. It was practical, reliable, economical, clean, roomy, and comfortable. It was also family safe. One image even shows a mother and child charging the car for use.
