Gentleman Posed with a Chair, 1910

01

Artifact Overview

This man likely decided at the spur-of-the-moment to have his photograph taken. He has left his tie tucked in as he would while wearing a work apron. He probably saw the temporary set-up by a traveling photographer of a painted canvas in a store or public building. Choosing postcard paper meant that he could mail photos to friends and relatives.
