Baker Henry J. Boerth and his family opened their first restaurant on Woodward Avenue in 1894. By 1919, Boerth's Lunch Company owned and operated four restaurants in Detroit, although the company was out of business by 1923. This is the interior of one of Boerth's Restaurants in about 1920.
