Artifact Overview

A torque wrench is designed to apply a specific amount of torque, or twisting force, to a fastener. It generally has either a scale or an internal mechanism that indicates the amount of toque put to a screw or bolt. Torque wrenches are often used on automobile wheel lug nuts, brake parts and suspension components to tighten fasteners to manufacturer specifications.
