Artifact Overview

The Ford Exhibit was the largest and most popular attraction at the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition in San Diego. Orchestra concerts performed for fairgoers in the 3,000-seat Ford Music Bowl amphitheatre were also broadcast nationally. Ford Motor Company's Sunday symphony hour, hosted by Truman Bradley, broadened Ford's corporate presence at the Exposition and provided bonus advertising.
