Chicago's 1933-34 Century of Progress Exposition used the theme of progress to encourage optimism during the Depression. Ford Motor Company's popular exhibition at the fair included an auditorium, where fairgoers viewed "Rhapsody in Steel," an entertaining film concerning automotive assembly, and the "Human Ford," an animated Ford automobile.
