To promote its elaborate exposition at the 1939-40 New York World's Fair, Ford Motor Company established a dedicated Press Department. Public relations staff worked to ensure that Ford's corporate presence saturated the fair. Select guests attended special teas, luncheons and dinners in the Ford exhibit building's lavishly decorated lounges, where they enjoyed gourmet fare and luxury service.
