Ford Motor Company entered four of its new Mark IV cars in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for 1967. Bruce McLaren and Mark Donohue co-drove the #2 Mark IV. When the car's tail section came loose during the race, members of the Shelby American crew gave up their belts to fix the problem. McLaren and Donohue finished in fourth place.
