Fresh from its 1-2-3 podium sweep with the GT40 Mark II in 1966, Ford Motor Company entered four of its new Mark IV cars in the 24 Hours of Le Mans for 1967. Denny Hulme and Lloyd Ruby co-piloted the #4 car. Their race ended around 9:15 p.m. when an oily patch on the track sent Ruby sliding into an embankment.
