Stamp Used in the Production of Model Race Car Bodies, 1935-1955
01
Artifact Overview
Tether cars, gas-powered model race cars, peaked in popularity during the years surrounding World War II. They were raced individually while tethered to a central pivot, or against each other on a scaled-down board track. While some cars were hand-built, many more were mass-produced. This stamping tool was used to produce parts for tether cars.
