American Mario Andretti and Belgian Lucien Bianchi co-piloted the #6 Ford GT40 Mark II, campaigned by Holman-Moody, at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans. Engine trouble forced them out after 97 laps. Andretti returned to Le Mans seven more times through 2000. Bianchi won Le Mans, with Mexican Pedro Rodriguez, in a GT40 Mark I in 1968.
