Chris Amon (in dark jacket) won the 1966 Le Mans 24-Hour with Bruce McLaren. The two New Zealanders co-piloted the #2 Ford GT40 Mark II, campaigned by the Shelby American racing team. Amon started in 96 Formula One races during his 13-year career, and he earned 11 podium finishes. He competed at Le Mans a total of eight times.
