Jerry Grant mostly raced open-wheel cars, and he made ten appearances in the Indianapolis 500 between 1965 and 1976. In 1966, Grant co-drove a Ford GT40 Mark II with Dan Gurney at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Engine trouble knocked their #3 car out of contention after 257 laps.
