Racing driver Cale Yarborough was best known for his work in NASCAR, where he earned three Cup Series championships and four wins at the Daytona 500. But he also competed in open-wheel and IROC events. Yarborough made four appearances in the Indianapolis 500, earning a personal-best tenth-place finish in 1972. He won an IROC championship in 1984.
