Artifact Overview
Dan Gurney was photographed at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during practice sessions and qualifying trials leading up to the 1967 Indianapolis 500. He piloted the #74 Ford-powered Eagle entered by All American Racers, which Gurney had co-founded with Carroll Shelby in 1964. Gurney finished the 1967 race in 21st place after being forced out by a burned piston.
