Dave Friedman has captured and preserved auto racing history through his own photography and his collection of works by other photographers. This image by Jack Brady Associates was taken during the 1960 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Joyce Thompson, pictured here, became the first woman to compete in the event that year. Thompson finished 13th in an Austin-Healey she called the "Termite."
