The Ford Motor Company produced its amphibious jeep, also known as a "seep" or "sea jeep," between 1942 and 1943. The military vehicle served to transport soldiers onto beaches or across rivers. After the war, surplus vehicles served other duties. This amphibious jeep and was likely used for promotional purposes and may have been intended for inclusion in a Ford Motor Company publication.
