The Panama-Pacific International Exposition celebrated the 1914 completion of the Panama Canal and the 400th anniversary of the discovery of the Pacific Ocean. The fair also provided the opportunity for companies across the country to advertise to millions of people. The Bank of Saginaw distributed this souvenir Panama Canal paperweight to fairgoers in San Francisco during the 1915 exhibition.
