Its safety department improved dangerous machines, encouraged careful work habits, published safety bulletins and posters, and even organized safety rallies, parades and picnics. This photo captured a 1924 worker safety rally at Lincoln Motor Company (which Ford had purchased in 1922). Safe workplaces were in everyone's best interest.
