Artifact Overview

The Piccard-Pictet Company manufactured its first Pic-Pic automobiles in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1906. The well-built cars were widely used by the Swiss Army in World War I. But a postwar surge of imported autos to Europe cut into Pic-Pic sales. Piccard-Pictet declared bankruptcy, and the French firm of Gnome et Rhone built the last Pic-Pic cars in 1924.
