Firestone Farm in Greenfield Village, September 2007

Artifact Overview

Firestone Farm in Greenfield Village is a "living history" re-creation of what life was like on the Ohio farm of Benjamin and Catherine Firestone in 1885. Meticulous research went into planning appropriate presenter-led demonstrations, especially those focused on the domestic activities in the farmhouse. In this image from 2007, historical presenters in period clothing prepare seasonal foods for the midday meal.
