Aerial View of Horne Motors Inc. Used Car Lot, March 1939
01
Artifact Overview
Used cars benefited customers who could buy fancier pre-owned vehicles for the price of new economy models. But they posed problems for manufacturers. Used cars competed for sales, and trade-in credits further cut into profits. The problems were worse during the Great Depression, but those hard economic times had eased by the time this photo was taken.
