Artifact Overview

American Mario Andretti and Belgian Lucien Bianchi drove the #3 Ford Mark IV, fielded by Holman-Moody, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1967. Their race ended early when the brakes locked up on Andretti while slowing for a corner. After sliding into the wall, the car was damaged beyond repair. Andretti only suffered bruises.
