Lyn St. James competed in the Indianapolis 500 seven times from 1992 through 2000. In 1997 she drove the #90 Infiniti-powered Dallara for Hemelgarn Racing. St. James qualified with a speed of 210.145 mph. During the race, accident damage to her suspension ended St. James's run after 186 laps, but she still earned a 13th-place finish.
