Artifact Overview
John Cafaro graduated with a degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in 1977. That same year, he went to work with General Motors, where over the next decade he created designs for vehicles like the Camaro Z-28 and the Pontiac Fiero GT. From 1986 to 1999, Cafaro was chief designer of the Corvette and Camaro and eventually became executive director of Global Chevrolet Design.
