Jelly shoes were popular among young women in the 1980s and 1990s. Made of plastic, the shoes came in a rainbow of colors and in various styles. Sandals were the most popular, but combat boot-inspired versions were also available. By this time, combat boots had become a fashion embraced by all genders.
