First run in 1952, the 12 Hours of Sebring endurance race is one of the world's premier sports car competitions. The race is held on a former U.S. Army air base near Sebring, Florida. The overall victory in 1963 went to John Surtees and Ludovico Scarfiotti, who shared driving duties in the #30 Ferrari 250 P.
