Charles Brady King (right) built and drove the first automobile in Detroit in March 1896, three months before Henry Ford finished his Quadricycle. In this circa 1945 photo, King shows various model railroad locomotives and steam engines to Ford's grandson, William Clay Ford. King gifted some of his models to Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village.
