Parnelli Jones raced and won everywhere in the 1960s and 1970s -- on dirt tracks, at Pikes Peak, in NASCAR, and in off-road events. He won the Indianapolis 500 as a driver in 1963 and as a team owner, with driver Al Unser, in 1970 and 1971. Off track, Jones sold tires and automotive parts through his retail businesses.
