After making a name for itself with the development of processed cheese in 1915, the J.L. Kraft & Bros. Co. began acquiring additional companies to diversify its product offerings. The company was known as Kraft-Phenix, beginning in 1928, after one such acquisition. In 1933, to commemorate the Century of Progress International Exposition in Chicago, the company published this booklet of summer salads and snack recipes.
