Melvin Parson earned his position as the Spring 2019 Entrepreneur-In-Residence at The Henry Ford because of his belief that market gardening plays a critical role in attaining full citizenship for the formerly incarcerated. Funding from the William Davidson Foundation's Initiative for Entrepreneurship supported documentation of Parson's gardening, work central to the mission of We The People Growers Association, which he founded in 2015.
