The New Jersey-based Kullman Dining Car Company, founded in 1927, was one of the longest-lived companies in the diner business. In 1941, the company introduced the "Challenger," its first all-steel-framed diner. The Kullman Junior, featured in this 1940s trade catalog, offered would-be operators a scaled-down version.
