Cigarette smoking was commonplace during the mid-20th century, and free matchbooks for customers promised free advertising. The Milford Diner was located in Milford, Pennsylvania--the "Gateway to Pike County's Vacationland" for travelers to the Poconos from New York City. This diner was manufactured by Mountain View Diners of Singac, New Jersey, known for its durable steel framework construction.
