The Grosse Pointe Yacht Club was formed in 1914. Located on Lake St. Clair about 12 miles northeast of Detroit, Michigan, the club was popular with executives and leaders in the automotive industry, many of whom lived in Grosse Pointe and surrounding communities. This photograph shows a party at the club for Ford Motor Company supervisors in 1951.
