Design Renderings of 1958 Lincoln Continental, 1955
01
Artifact Overview
When the Continental Mark II -- built by a separate Continental Division -- was canceled after 1957, the "Continental" name was applied to Lincoln's top-of-the-line model for 1958. The all-new Lincoln Continental Mark III featured unit-body construction, distinctive slanted headlights, and a substantial overall length of 229 inches. Though the 1958 Lincolns received positive reviews in the press, customers were less impressed.
