MAY BE USED IN TWO WAYS / 1. SURFACE (RESIDUAL SPRAYING (for long lasting killing effect). Spray a wet mist of STANDARD Insect Spray with DDT directly on surfaces to the point of / wetness without run-off; hold sprayer close. Insects will continue to be killed by contact / with sprayed surfaces for long periods after spray has dried. 2. CONTACT SPRAY- / ING (for immediate effect on flying insects). Spray a fine mist into air of enclosed spaces. Insects coming in contact with mist, or sprayed directly, will be kills. / For Flies, Mosquitoes and Flying Moths: / As a Surface Spray, for 3 or 4 month / killing effect -- Spray or brush Insect / Spray with DDT on both sides of screens, / wetting uniformly. Also spray surfaces / such as light fixtures, ceilings, painted / woodwork, porches, garbage cans. / Frequently respray surfaces exposed to / weathering. Walls may be sprayed, but / wet spray may cause dirt stains on some / wallpaper, calcimine or similar materials. / Contact Spraying, for immediate direct / effect -- Close room tightly. Spray to- / ward ceiling in all parts of room, spray - / ing insects directly when possible. Keep / room closed for 15 minutes. Air thor- / oughly before reoccupying. / Note: For convenient space spraying, use / STANDARD Aerosol Insect Killer. / FOR THE FOLLOWING INSECTS / SURFACE (RESIDUAL) SPRAYING ONLY IS RECOMMENDED / Clothes Moths, Carpet Beetles / -- Force spray into rugs, carpets, wool- / ens and furs, particularly in folds and / seams; spray storage closets and contain- / ers. Spray furniture thoroughly; open up, / forcing spray liberally inside. Dry articles / thoroughly before using; repeat monthly. / Bedbugs -- Spray bed frames, cracks / in woodwork, and mattresses. Dry bed- / ding an mattresses thoroughly before / using. Effective for several months. / Fleas -- Spray floors, cracks and pets' / sleeping quarters; dry bedding and quar- / ters before re-use. Effective for several / weeks. Do not spray pets directly. / Roaches, Sliverfish -- Spray force- / ibly and liberally behind baseboards, around drains, and in other hiding / places. Effects may not be apparent for / several days. Repeat when necessary. / Spiders -- Remove webs. Spray spiders / and surfaces where they build webs. / Ants -- Spray directly; spray runaways. / Note: For more effective control of / German roaches, ants and spiders use. / STANDARD Roach and Ant Spray. / CAUTION / Repeated or prolonged contact may cause toxic symptoms; avoid exces- / sive inhalation and skin contact. In case of spillage on skin, wash with soap / and water. Harmful if swallowed; keep out of reach of children. Avoid / contamination of foodstuffs. Do not spray household pets, humans or living / plants. Remove pets while spraying rooms; cover aquaria. Do not permit / spray to come in contact with rubberized or asphalt composition mate- /rials such as siding, shingles and floors. If spilled, wipe up at once. / If spray leaves whitish deposit on dark woodwork remove with a good / polish such as STANDARD Liquid Gloss. To prevent possible corrosion / of sprayer, empty contents back into container after using. As spray is com- / bustible under certain conditions, do not spray near fire. / ANTIDOTE: Call physician at once.
