Door Pull Prototype, 2020
01
Artifact Overview
Like other American automakers, Ford Motor Company devoted employees and facilities to producing specialized equipment to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a prototype for a door pull that allowed a person to pull on the door with a forearm rather than a hand. The device reduced the risk of virus transmission by reducing contact with contaminated surfaces.
