Ford Motor Company's Advanced Vehicles Facility, located in the United Kingdom, built seven street-legal versions of the GT40 Mark I race car with the 289-cubic-inch V-8 engine. These vehicles were sent to dealers and auto shows around North America to promote Ford's victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.
