Artifact Overview

Planes, pilots, and cameras that had been used for aerial reconnaissance during World War I found new work conducting aerial surveys in the 1920s. This photograph, taken by a Detroit-based aerial surveyor, shows Dearborn, Michigan, where auto magnate Henry Ford completed many large-scale construction projects.
