Winter Solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of year. Throughout history, world cultures have held festivals and ceremonies that look forward to the light, warmth, and life-giving properties of the returning sun. This long-burning candle, to remain lit throughout the long night of Winter Solstice, was inspired by those used in Christian Novena rituals.
