Photographer Dave Friedman captured and preserved auto racing history through his work, and through his collection of works by other photographers. This photo was taken at California's Riverside International Raceway in September 1966 during a Trans-Am four-hour race. Jerry Titus took the checkered flag driving the #1 Ford Mustang. The Trans-Am Series was created for popular pony cars like Mustang.
