Actor Paul Newman fell in love with racing while filming the 1969 Indianapolis 500 drama Winning. He pursued a second career driving in sports car races. Newman won four Sports Car Club of America national championships and a class victory at the 1979 24 Hours of Le Mans. Newman was photographed while visiting Dan Gurney's All American Racers.
